MH Update – 3/9/21 – MHANYS Workforce Petition Drive and the Rest of the Activities for Mental Health Matters Advocacy Days

Two days down and three more to go with MHANYS Mental Health Matters Days.  The list of this week’s activities are attached. We hope you can participate in all our upcoming events.

Please join the over three hundred people who have signed on so far for this week’s activities for Legislative Advocacy Day tomorrow followed by our Rally; for our Trauma Informed Care Day on Thursday followed by our letter writing and social media campaign; and on Friday for our Workforce Day followed by our Petition Drive.

One of the many exciting highlights is the petition drive we are kicking off as part of our Friday afternoon discussion. The petition drive is part of our workforce advocacy taking place throughout Friday.  This petition is supporting more information about mental health in the workplace through several initiatives.

This petition is surrounding two policy agenda pieces: mental health signage in the workplace and voluntary mental health guidelines for businesses to support the workforce across New York State. If you’re interested, further information is in the details section of the petition page.

It would be great to have some people sign on before our program on Friday afternoon. You can find the petition here: https://www.change.org/p/support-mental-health-wellness-in-new-york-s-workplaces

Thanks to the great work of Matt Delaney of our MHANYS team in putting this together
