Nature as a Wellness Tool

Nature is always hopeful, awe-inspiring, and optimistic, showing us hope and strength even in unexpected places. Being outdoors, taking nature photos, and creating art with them has been an important part of my everyday wellness. Taking part in MHANYS’ Wellness & Recovery Action Planning (WRAP) training was an experience which showed me more tools for recovery and self-determination and also made me aware of how much my nature routine has meant to maintaining my overall well-being.
