MHANYS Summer Academy ended today with a powerful Fireside Chat with Education Commissioner Dr. Betty Rosa and NYS Office of Mental Health Commissioner, Dr. Ann Sullivan. It was a robust conversation focused on school climate, school based mental health clinics, mental health instruction in school, social emotional learning, role of families and so much more. We will be sending out a recording in next few days. The best part of the event was the chemistry between Commissioners Rosa and Sullivan. They are like minded (along with Governor Hochul) in providing solutions, financial support and common sense responses to the youth mental health crisis
