Yesterday, the NYS Senate voted almost unanimously in support of the First Responder Legislation. Thanks to Senators Peter Harckham and Jake Ashby for their leadership in support of this bill.
Now all eyes are on the Assembly (A.7285A—Burdick). Assembly member Burdick has been a staunch supporter and we will now need Assembly leadership to get us to the finish line.
