NEW Report: Treating Tobacco Use Disorder in Behavioral Health Populations: Innovative Approaches and Uses of Approved Medications!


Dear Colleagues,

You can improve the quality of life and health outcomes for the individuals you serve by treating their tobacco use disorder. Helping people achieve their life goals by cutting back or quitting tobacco and other nicotine products is not always be easy, but we hope this resource can be helpful!  To help you in this important work, the Center for Health Systems Improvement for a Tobacco Free New York is excited to share our new report, Treating Tobacco Use Disorder in Behavioral Health Populations: Innovative Approaches and Uses of Approved Medications

In this report, you will find new ways to address tobacco use disorder that can significantly increase your patients’ treatment success rates. The report includes:

  • An overview of the seven FDA-approved medications for treating tobacco use
  • Recommended use of these FDA-approved medications
  • Key messages for treating tobacco use disorder in your patients
