Mental Health Update

MHANYS Quarterly Journal—Winter 2026

MHANYS is excited to announce the release of the fifth edition of the MHANYS Journal: Strength in Community. In this issue, we invite you to read about the work and achievements of the past year and our exciting plans for 2026. Thanks to your support and our collective effort, we continue to make progress in the mission to raise awareness, reduce stigma, sustain advocacy, and promote mental health and wellness.

One way to measure impact is in the numbers. Nearly 9,000 New Yorkers selected MHANYS to meet their mental health literacy needs in 2025, a 10% increase over 2024. This increase speaks to the culture shift we continue to lead where individuals are empowered to learn about mental health and wellness so they can better care for themselves, their families, and their community. The demand for mental health literacy spans across all ages and in all corners of the community, from the classroom to the college campus to the workplace. In working with affiliate members and a growing number of partners, we are changing the paradigm for today and the next generation.

Only a year ago, we launched this new quarterly publication. Readership is growing. As we navigate these challenging and uncertain times together, we hope the articles and features in MHANYS Journal serve as a source of inspiration and hope.

Please share the MHANYS Journal with your networks. We look forward to sharing more stories with you in 2026.

With gratitude,
