As Karl referenced, there are a number of initiatives that have to take place to insure the safety and support of individuals in mental health crisis including greater mental health clinical engagement with police, more use of peer engagement, greater use of CIT and Mental Health First Aid, greater family engagement to help defuse crisis and more resourced Mobil Crisis Teams that are cross-culturally informed
