Mental Health Update

06/17/2022 – Youth Advisory Board

The Young Leaders and Advocates Network in Partnership with the New York State Office of Mental Health is looking for your support in seeking young people 12-20 who have engaged with mental health services to participate in a Youth Advisory Board Experience. This is a PAID opportunity for young people to lend their voice to YLAN and OMH to collaborate on future service options for young people. We hope each of you will take a moment to read over the information included here and consider sharing with your provider networks, on social media, and with direct care staff.

We have also included a flyer for sharing directly with young people through one on one conversations, bulletin boards, youth groups, and at advisory boards or councils you may have at your agency. This event is a significant opportunity for young people to support our efforts to amplify their voices in future program and policy development.

Please note all applications are due by July 8, 2022!

All applications will be reviewed by YLAN Peers and all applicants will be contacted for follow up.

Applicants selected to attend who are minors may bring a responsible adult approved by their parent/guardian in advance. This will be a part of application follow up.
