Please see the attached OMH Guidance regarding The Use of Telephone and Two-way Video Technology by OMH-Licensed, Funded or Designated Providers and Clients Affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic. This document consolidates and updates all previously issued OMH supplemental guidance relative to the use of telemental health, and includes new guidance regarding:
- Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Programs (CPEP);
- Article 28/31 inpatient programs;
- Prescribing of controlled substances; and
- Consent for treatment and client signatures on treatment plans.
Also attached is the Self-Attestation Form which must be submitted consistent with guidance, which allows for the delivery of telemental health services by OMH licensed, funded, or designated programs. Attestations previously submitted will be honored to include the additional provisions added on March 13, 2020, and March 30, 2020. Attestations are considered effective once submitted. Please keep a copy for your records.
