MH Update – 3/30/20 – DOH Guidance on Healthcare Personnel Return to Work and Protocols

Between State, Federal and MHANYS own resources, we realize that there is a lot of information we are sending out regarding the coronavirus.  We also recognize that overwhelming with resources can, in itself, be anxiety provoking.

We hope that you find this a valuable resource, but please know that if you would like to get off our list serve, just send me an individual e-mail and we will take you right off.

Please stay safe.

See attached guidance issued by DOH on March 28, 2020.

Please note that this supersedes previously issued guidance and does not differ materially from what has been issued by OMH to State-operated providers.

As you may know, Governor Cuomo also has issued an Executive Order dictating that DOH directives supersede any direction from county health authorities, as well as any directives made by other political subdivisions.

While the attached reflects guidance which DOH is mandating for the providers targeted in this communication, OMH is providing you this same communication, as a resource.  OMH recommends that community mental health providers follow these guidelines wherever relevant.

OMH continues to add guidance documents, including FAQs, to the OMH Guidance website: https://omh.ny.gov/omhweb/guidance/.

Please check daily for updates.
