The Senate and Assembly mental hygiene committees held their first joint meeting to identify priorities during the budget negotiations. There is much negotiation left to be done before budget is passed. However we were very pleased that every legislator in attendance identified the COLA among their top priorities. Also highlighted was funding for veterans through the Dwyer project. Housing, Mental Health First Aid, Parity and CIT were highlighted by several legislators as was funding for the direct care workforce and additional Medication Assistance Therapy in correctional facilities We will need your continued advocacy to support these changes
