MH Update – 12/23/20 – IMPORTANT- OMH Provider Vaccine Prioritization and Appointment Scheduling Information

Dear OMH Provider,

Happy holidays and thank you for your continued efforts on behalf of the individuals served by New York State’s public mental health system.

As you know, New York is beginning to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine to communities across the state. To guide the distribution of vaccines to front line workers employed by, and high-risk populations served by, agencies licensed, funded, or designated by the Office of Mental Health, the New York State Department of Health has issued the following guidance:

Guidance for the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), Office of Mental Health (OMH), and Office of Addiction Services and Support (OASAS): Prioritization of Essential Healthcare and Direct Support Personnel as well as High Risk

Populations for COVID-19 Vaccination

Please review this guidance document in its entirety and identify priority populations within your workforce and the population which you serve in accordance with this guidance.

After you have completed this prioritization, please review the attached spreadsheet, which contains links to be used by your agency to schedule vaccination appointments for your staff and the people served by your agency at the hospital or Federally Qualified Health Center closest to your location.

Please note: The links contained within the spreadsheet are unique and should only be used to schedule vaccination appointments for priority populations, and should not be redistributed. This message was sent to all OMH voluntary provider agencies operating outside of New York City. Receipt of this message does not necessarily mean that any particular program operated by the recipient agency meets the criteria in the guidance memo.
