Last month we began a Photofor4% campaign that aligns with our advocacy for a 4% TII (formerly COLA increase). We take pictures of legislators and ask them to stand strongly with us in support of this increase for mental health and human services. We have a box with all their names that we check off after they sign in support. We have had great success in getting legislators to have pictures taken with us. To date we have 62 Legislators who have agreed to have their picture taken with us.
When the Legislative session resumes again tomorrow, our group will be out in full force. If you have a relationship with a legislator and they are not on the list, please reach out to them and urge them to take a picture outside the Senate or Assembly Chamber with us. Conversely, if you are a legislator and want your picture taken with us, please feel free to stop over tomorrow morning.
