LAST CALL- WE NEED YOUR HELP FOR 8.5% COLA

20221212_MHANYS_Letterhead_Header_1WE NEED YOUR HELP ONE LAST TIME!!

OVER 1,000 CALLS ARE NEEDED IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

MHANYS continues to advocate for the 8.5% COLA but we need to make more noise. So far, both the Assembly and the Senate have increased the proposed COLA to 8.5% in their one house budgets. Now they are negotiating with the Governor’s office and we need to make sure the Governor, who proposed 2.5%, hears your voice and sticks with the 8.5%!

Next, we need them to specify Health Homes Serving Children and prevention programs as eligible programs in the budget language or we will not benefit from the COLA directly.

WE NEED TO KEEP UP THE MOMENTUM AND MAKE SOME NOISE!!

MHANYS is urging everyone to call TODAY or TOMORROW (March 21 & 22)

to the Governor and the Leaders of the Assembly & Senate.

Who to call?

Governor Hochul: 1-518-474-8390

Sen. Andrea Stewart-Cousins:  (518) 455-2585

Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie: 518-455-3791

What to say?

Introduce yourself and state that you are calling to request support for 8.5 % human services COLA.

It’s that easy, that’s all you have to do to make a difference. Thank you for all your hard work, it’s time we get our program recognized for all the great work you do!
