MHANYS is researching the possibility of a statewide effort to develop a pension benefit for the not-for-profit workforce. There are approximately 800,000 individuals in the human services not-for-profit workforce. While State and Local Government Workers, Teachers, Firefighters, and Police have well-deserved pensions, is it time that New York’s non-profit sector had similar benefits?
