The best part of working in this field is the opportunity to befriend wonderful people who driven by a desire to make positive changes. One of the best is Geoff Lieberman, the Director of CIAD for the past forty years. Geoff has announced his retirement and we have attached the information about the Executive Director position.
I have worked with Geoff for the past twenty five years. He has been unwavering in his support for the residents of adult homes. He has taken courageous stands, spoken truth to government and gave voice to those that few have talked about. He has helped to make the residents of adult homes empowered to speak their minds about conditions of some of these homes. He has shared their stories with the media, the Executive and the Legislature. He has spent his career building them up and they in turn have become a strong and vocal constituency. No doubt there is still a long way to go but they would never have gotten this far without the tireless efforts of Geoff. He will be greatly missed.
