The New York State Assembly has added the 8.5% COLA to their One House Proposal. This is also good news and a great credit to the members of the Assembly for supporting this important recognition of the community providers and the workforce.
With both the Senate and Assembly supporting an 8.5% COLA, this will put additional pressure on the Executive to fully fund the COLA.
As Yogi said, ‘It ain’t over till it’s over’ We have a long several weeks of advocacy ahead but this is certainly very helpful.
