Article in Troy Record and Saratogian highlighting the Implementation of Youth and Teen Mental Health Statewide
Governor Hochul has launched an ambitious agenda to train every tenth grader in New York State in Teen Mental Health First Aid. MHANY was part of a press event last week with OMH Commissioner Sullivan ,representatives of the Rensselaer City School District and the National Council for Mental Well-Being, highlighting this important initiative.
It was a wonderful event and a reminder that young people are incredibly smart, resilient, and compassionate. The peer approach of training for young people through Teen MFA will impact generations of adolescents and their families. MHANYS is pleased to be part of this remarkable agenda.
Special thanks to MHANYS Zachary Phillips for wearing the ALGEE Kawala outfit on a very hot day.
