4% For Mental Health and Human Services Advocacy Continues This Week
Our weekly rallies for the 4% targeted inflationary increase hit a monumental milestone this week as we garnered the support of 100 legislators (look for upcoming press release)! On Tuesday, Senators Fahy, Gounardes, and Scarcella-Spanton, along with Assemblymembers Seawright and Tague, joined us for a photo recognizing the critical need for this investment in community-based behavioral health and human services. These programs rely on this funding to maintain services, address rising costs, and recruit and retain the workforce needed to help New Yorkers access care, recover, and thrive in their communities. We are deeply grateful to the 100 legislators and look forward to growing the support from additional legislators in future rallies.
