Today’s MHANYS is testifying at the Assembly hearing on impact of COVID-19 to our community. Our testimony is attached. Since the beginning of the pandemic MHANYS has provided over 75 trainings webinars and panel discussions to over ten thousand individuals. Today’s testimony focuses on the need for a statewide response to the need for trauma-informed care for the workforce, support for the needs of students, teachers and families in regard to mental health in schools and the need for greater public information about mental health.
