MHANYS Journal: Strength in Community Vol. 7

MHANYS is proud to announce the seventh edition of the MHANYS Journal: Strength in Community. In this issue, we focus on transitions as we look ahead to the return to school and college for students, educators, and staff, embrace the changing seasons, and settle into new routines.

From classrooms to offices, homes to communities, transitions touch every aspect of our lives. These moments—whether you choose them or they choose you—bring vulnerability, challenge, and opportunity. At MHANYS, we work every day through our trainings, programs, and advocacy to empower individuals and communities to navigate these changes with the confidence and resilience to move forward.

We invite you to discover exciting updates in this issue: join us at the School Mental Health Resource and Training Center’s fifth annual School Mental Health Summer Academy on August 11 and 12, learn about our innovative fellowship for EMS first responders, explore the evolving conversation around workplace mental health, connect with our affiliate network, and so much more.

Remember, transitions are not meant to be faced alone. Now more than ever, it’s vital to build and sustain a supportive community—a commitment we saw in action during our record engagement for Mental Health Awareness Month this May. Thank you for being part of this movement. Together, let’s continue to support one another and build healthier, stronger communities.
