MH Update – Fwd: SHAPE Up NY Learning Collaborative Opportunity

Please share with area schools and districts!

The New York State Office of Mental Health System of Care Pilot, in partnership with the Expanded School Mental Health team at the University of Rochester Medical Center, is pleased to offer an opportunity for New York State Schools and District teams to engage in a FREE 6-month learning collaborative focused on advancing high-quality school mental health systems and supports. This is an opportunity to engage in strategic action planning and development of your school mental health systems through the School Health and Performance Evaluation (SHAPE) System.

Selected district teams will be provided with access to professional development, technical assistance, and ongoing coaching as they work to pilot practices that advance the quality of their Comprehensive School Mental Health System.

On Friday, October 29th, we held an informational webinar regarding SHAPE: “Improving Your School Mental Health System”. We highlighted the impact the SHAPE Quality Assessment can have for systems change through the sharing of our 2021 Cohort One outcomes from the SHAPE UP NY Learning Collaborative. Thank you to the many people that attended Friday’s session.

Attached in this email you will find the slides from the session, as well as the application to our upcoming SHAPE Up NY Learning Collaborative (more details about the opportunity are included in that document). The application is due November 30th (send to SHAPE@omh.ny.gov).
