Attached is a video of a press conference that was held today in support of maternal mental health related to three specific bills—S.7865 (Brouk)/A.5076 (Solages)—requires mental health care providers to offer a maternal depression screening to new mothers, S—7753 (Brouk)/A. 9102 (Gonzalez-Rojas)—OMH and DOH to enact a study on the disparate impact regarding post-partum depression screening tools and S—7752 (Brouk)—A—9085 (Clark)—Requiring OMH to establish a maternal mental health workgroup.The press conference was led by Assemblymember Gonzalez-Rojas and featured presentations from MHANYS, NAMI, NYAPRS and Families Together. We thank Assemblymembers Gonzalez-Rojas, Solages and Clark for their support as well as Senator Brouk for her leadership on issues of maternal mental health.
