Top Ten Reason to Come to MHANYS May 3rd Reception

1) LEGENDARY SILENT AUCTION WITH ITEMS TOTALING OVER $6000 IN VALUE:
This year features the most valuable items we have had in the ten years of
this event. Items include a three day/two night stay at the Kripalu
Wellness Center, Four VIP Seats to Josh Groban’s performance at SPAC, A
Coach Bag and Two lawn seats for the Boston Symphony Orchestra at
Tanglewood including a picnic dinner and overnight stay. These are just
four of the fifty wonderful items available that evening. Many items start
their bids at ten dollars or less. Remember Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and
Graduations.

2) SEVERAL VIPS IN ATTENDANCE: Among the dignitaries in attendance this
year include Assemblymembers Aileen Gunther and John McDonald as well as
Mental Health Commissioner Dr. Ann Sullivan and OCFS Acting Commissioner,
Sheila Poole as well as representatives from Senators Ortt and Amedore

3) GREAT FUN: In all the years, we have been doing this, I don’t
remember anyone leaving who did not have a smile on their face when they
walked out the door.

4) GREAT FRIENDS: For many people it is the one time a year they get to
see some of their colleagues in a fun and friendly setting.

5) NO MEDICAID MANAGED CARE DISCUSSIONS: There is no discussion of
Medicaid Managed Care. This is just an evening of lighthearted fun. Any
individual caught talking about managed care, DSRIP or valued based
payments will be asked to leave immediately.

6) GREAT CAUSE: All proceeds go to the MHANYS campaign to stop the
stigma of mental illness.

7) WONDERFUL ENTERTAINMENT: Rich Ortiz is back by popular demand after
his performance last year. Rich is a very talented musician who plays an
eclectic array of music

8) GREAT FOOD–The comments we received from last year reception’s about
the food were overwhelmingly positive. From the appetizers to the desserts,
there is a vast array of delectable food choices

9) BEAUTIFUL LOCALE: The Normanside Country Club is a picturesque spot
where many people come to just to have a drink and relax outside

10) NO REGRETS ABOUT A GREAT EVENING MISSED: You
don’t want to be the one on Wednesday morning asking colleagues about how
the evening went and knowing you were not in on the fun, food,
entertainment and great auction items
