There are two major events taking place over the next few weeks at MHANYS.

1) MHANYS Mental Health Matters Legislative Day on March 8th.
Speakers include State and Legislative Leaders in Mental Health, experts on
workforce, veterans mental health, housing, mental health education, eating
disorders and so much more. There is no cost to attend this event and
breakfast and ‘Mental Health Matters’ Tee Shirts are included. You can

2) MHANYS Mental Health Education in School Summit taking place on
March 16th at Albany Law School. This summit brings together experts in
mental health and education to discuss the impact of the recent passage of
the Mental Health in Education Schools Bill. Among the speakers in the
summit include State Education Commissioner, MaryEllen Elia and State
Mental Health Commissioner, Dr. Ann Sullivan. The cost of the event is *only
twenty dollars* to cover the cost of lunch. You can register at

Mental Health Matters Legislative Day. We hope you can join us this year
and show your support for mental health. Through your leadership, funding
has been added to mental health services in New York State, funding has
increased for Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Prevention, Veterans Mental
Health and Crisis Intervention Teams; Mental Health Education is becoming a
reality in schools across New York and a Tax Check off for Mental Health
Public Awareness is the law in New York State. Your advocacy creates
results. There will also be breakfast and tee shirts for all attendees.
