a forum on November 16th on a Trauma Informed Approach to Family and
Community Wellness. Registration information is attached.

Healed People Heal Communities: A Trauma-Informed Approach to Family &
Community Wellness

Come share and learn from each other about recognizing the signs of
traumatic stress and explore effective approaches that will support
families and communities with complex histories of traumatic stress and
loss.

Morning session:

  • Your story of healing/ Open Mic participation
  • A brief presentation by Deborah Faust, “Inherited Family Trauma is Not Destiny”
  • A panel discussion from inter-faith leaders and service providers that explores some of the successes and challenges partnering with families and communities that experience traumatic stress and loss

Lunch provided

Afternoon session:

A community conversation facilitated by Strong Oak, Executive Director of
Visioning B.E.A.R. Circle Intertribal Coalition. Strong Oak will facilitate
a community conversation exploring how valuable our cultural traditions are
for enhancing our overall well-being.
